Is this the year?
The final resolution, conclusion, final act, consummation, culmination──what? Did the Mayan’s know something about creation’s termination or is this just another Y2K?
Jesus was very concise and emphatic about no man knowing the hour for the end of this age, but everyone keeps probing, digging and predicting. The Son of God said that even He did not know the date. Seems to me that when anyone prognosticates a date, we can be assured the great climax will not happen then. I do believe God’s true remnant believers will be apprised about the season for this time; regardless, the key issue is for us to BE READY for whenever the big shift comes and for whatever it brings.
The true work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is to change us until we are ready for whatever comes in life and, deliverance as we know it and Jesus demonstrated it, is a vital part of this process. If you cannot discern unclean spirits, you will not understand this since most people believe these things are “out there” instead of “in here.” Let me say as emphatically as I possibly can that it is the demons inside us that must be dealt with before we can effectively deal with the demons outside us. Pride of life gives rise to denial of this reality and faulty bible exegesis casts a veil of blindness regarding our inner circumstances.
It takes no great prophet to see we are drawing much closer to some denouement of time as we presently know it. The hand writing is on the wall, so to say.
So what to do?
Jesus warned:
“But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would
come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore
you also BE READY, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” –Matthew
24:43-
Like never before, it is time to get bitterness and unforgiveness, fears, rebellion, lust and deceptions ( to name a few) out of our lives. This is effectively appropriated through deliverance—the casting out of demons.
It came to me very strongly to begin Friday night ministries again, maybe because of the hour and maybe because we are having more and more believers reach out to us again for help getting free of what we have just mentioned.
Some strongly oppose such ministry; others smugly assume they have no need of such. Jesus came saying it was the finger of God working; the way the Kingdom comes to us.
God willing, we will be available and ready every Friday evening at 7:30 to open prison doors, set captives free, heal broken hearts, give beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning.
