Dear Believer,

Recently, I wrote a blog on our web site about the spiritual implications of a woman being in leadership of our nation and that, according to God’s Word, leadership should be male. Most of the responses to this article were enthusiastic—enthusiastically agreeing and enthusiastically disagreeing. No middle ground here—and, I believe, rightfully so.
Before you stop reading, hear me out.

A pundit for the Miami Herald, Leonard Pitts, recently wrote an article in regards to the lies perpetrated in the present political campaign—especially about Sarah Palin. He quoted (of all people) Michael Jackson who said, “Be careful what you do, ‘cause the lie becomes the truth.”

Mr. Pitts went on to say:
“These days, every ideology has a ‘truth’ and everybody’s ‘truth’ has an agenda. Nothing is settled and known. All things are up in the air, all things open to interpretation.
Indeed, truth hardly seems to be the point anymore. Lies serve just as well. As a result, we are no longer grounded in the same shared body of facts and in a very real sense, have no basis upon which to reason together, no basis for shared mission, purpose or identity.”

So it is in the church world, or should I say, so the church world has influenced the world to become.

One responder to my blog said, “I couldn’t agree with you less.” Another said, “Steve, you’ve got to be kidding,” and goes on to say she successfully leads a good sized group of people where she works.

Well, of course, women can be successful in leadership. Of course, they can do just about everything a man can do, and some instances, do it better. But let’s not fall for the age old error of letting the end justify the means. The church world has done this for centuries to the point of physically torturing people who would not agree with their doctrines. A few hours hanging upside down without water helps someone see why they should be added to the roll of membership. So grew some of the church world.

Jesus said there would be many of those who would say in that day, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And then He will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” They were doing the right thing, but in the wrong way. In the Kingdom of God, we don’t do things because they work. We do things in obedience to our Father’s instructions or words. His instructions are plainly written for us to follow. We do it His way or no way.

The father of all lies has done a cunning work within the church world today as he did in the garden with Eve. “Has God indeed said . . .?” Well, yes, He has indeed said through His chosen apostle, “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man . . .” (I Timothy 2:12) An elder is to be the husband of one wife. (I Timothy 3:2) Jesus was certainly ministered to and supported by women, but He chose no woman to be His disciple for training in leadership. Need more be said?

Actually, the real issue is the Bible. Is it really the Word of God? Should it be trusted for guidance in all matters of life and death? Have we become more sophisticated and modern so we can now move beyond its “primitive” paradigms dealing with devils and angels? Is it all for then and not for now?

So it has become just as Leonard Pitts said: “Nothing is settled and known, and that all things are up in the air, all things open to interpretation.” Lies serve just as well as truth.
So our courts have become just like the church world, interpreting the law instead of following and upholding the law. The interpretation then becomes the lie and God’s Word slips off the rock onto the shifting sands of man’s interpretation and pragmatic applications leaving the world fragmented and confused. So it has become in many hearts. Some even believe and teach that God’s law doesn’t apply anymore because it has passed away. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Actually, God’s law is being written on the hearts of true believers even while you read this (Hebrews 8:7-13). Jesus came to fulfill the law, not do away with it.

If God be our God, then should we not obey His Word whether we fully understand His purpose or not; whether we like or not; whether it causes us persecution or not?
If you say, “No,” according to what laws do you live? Everyone has a philosophical compass, admitted or not. God gives us the option to rebel against His law and His Word, but warns us of the consequences.

“Steve Bell, you are just a woman hater,” some have said. No, I am a God lover, and in loving my Father, I have the greatest of love for my sisters in the Lord knowing obedience is better than sacrifice and that obedience brings peace and joy and true freedom.

I choose to believe and follow my Father’s Words. I seek to know His ways and in knowing understand more and more how great His love is for all of us.

Regardless of what you believe, He loves you too—very much.

A TIME OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE
As a body of believers here at The KEY, the Lord has led us from time to time to have a season of spiritual warfare prayers. Sometimes it comprises of a week of meeting together and worshipping and praying, other times it may go on for a longer period of time.

The prayers of spiritual warfare are different than, what one might call, the typical prayer. Most praying is asking for something like a provision or healing; whereas, spiritual warfare praying is commanding and decreeing. In petitional praying, we stand on earth looking to heaven. In spiritual warfare we are seated with Christ in heavenly places in the Spirit and use the authority given to us by Jesus. (See Ephesians 2:6 and Luke 11:19)

God works on earth through the spoken word. Initially, He created through His spoken word, and now He moves and even fulfills prophecies through our spoken words of faith.
A case in point is Daniel. He saw and understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord, given through Jeremiah the prophet, that He (God) would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. (Daniel 9:2) So Daniel then, “Set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.” In other words, Daniel saw the prophecy of Jeremiah and that the seventy years of judgment were completed, so he began to pray accordingly for it to happen.
The Lord has shown me for years that Satan has a finite arsenal of weapons and that his biggest gun is the Queen of Heaven Spirit. When that comes down as seen in The Revelation 18, it’s over. This spirit pervades throughout the world with mother/child gods and even in the church with Christ child of Christmas. The strategy is to bring forth a mother god instead of a Father which is perversity.

The Lord spoke to us to begin warring against this spirit during the month of September. We war through preaching and teaching the Word. We war through praise and worship. We also war through prayers or liturgy such as you see on the facing page.

We include this prayer we have been and are praying to offer you the opportunity to join with us in this warfare. This thing has hurt all of us and our families. It is time for its demise. If you have any questions, please, call me or contact me.

OPERATION ELIJAH

A prayer of warfare against the queen of heaven

Oh Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments.

Oh Lord God, we come before you to declare our warfare against the queen of heaven and her powers of Jezebel and the Ahab antichrist spirits. We come against and bind the powers of the air and all of the effective influence that comes against us. By the authority in the name of Jesus Christ and the power of His shed blood, we renounce and cut off all mind control and witchcraft these unclean spirits have rendered. We demolish and tear down the strongholds in our minds and in the minds of the people.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we come wielding the sword of the Spirit cutting all tentacles, Cords and influences of wickedness by the Queen and her workers.
We declare and decree that Your light of truth, Father in heaven, shine forth to expose the Queen’s works of darkness and deception.

We rebuke every demonic influence of fear, division, disagreement, false doctrines, false teachings, distorted paradigms, witchcraft and all other works seen and unseen.
We declare and decree that all the priests who eat at the Queen’s table be brought down and their false ministries be thrown down and destroyed. We bind you spirits from teaching doctrines of demons and leading God’s people people into sexual sins, immorality and the worship of idols. No longer will you deceive and dull minds in understanding of the consequences of sin.

We command you, queen of heaven, to loose those who you call your children. They are no longer your children, but we claim them now for the Lord, and command them to be loosed and brought into His fold.

You are now exposed. You will sit as a widow. We rebuke and cancel your reign of terror, witchcraft and death. We declare that your place in the land of Shinar be destroyed. Come down! Come down! Come down! You are brought down and finished!

According to our Heavenly Father’s Word in The Revelation, we come to pay you double for what you have done and render to you just as you have rendered in the earth.
In the same measure, we give you torment and sorrow; for we know you say in your heart that you sit as queen, and are no widow and will not see sorrow. Therefore, we declare your plagues will come in one day—death and mourning and famine. You will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord who judges you.

We confess that we have sinned against our heavenly father by being in agreement with you, but now the times of our ignorance and blindness are over. Now, because we see you, we repent, break and loose ourselves from your influence and agreements.

We are fully forgiven, justified and redeemed and declare that we overcome you by the blood of the Lamb, the word of our testimony and we love not our lives unto death.

We choose this day to do the work of the Kingdom of God. We decree and choose that our lives, homes and fellowship be set in order and in agreement with the truth of God’s word as set down by the apostles and prophets.

We and the apostles and prophets rejoice over you, oh Babylon, for God has avenged us. The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.

Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
